Alicia Hagedorn B.Sc.P.T.

Alicia graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Physiotherapy from Queen's University in 2002.

Since graduation she has completed advanced coursework inTreatment of Disorders of the Lumbar Spine and Pelvis, Treatment of Dysfunctions of the Thorax and Breathing Re-Education, Pilates and Biomechanics of the Foot and Ankle.

Alicia is also pursuing her Diploma in Advanced Manual and Manipulative Therapy offered by the Orthopaedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association.

Throughout her career, she has been involved with developing the following programs:

  • Accelerated ACL Rehabilitation Program
  • Postpartum Health for Moms
  • Pilates/Core Strengthening
  • Osteoporosis: Successful Prevention and Maintenance
  • Golf-Related Injuries: Successful Prevention and Treatment

Alicia is Co-Owner and Clinical Director of The Physio & Massage Institute Ltd., a company that was established in 2004. The Physio & Massage Institute Ltd. was founded with the following mission:

To provide excellence in the areas of Physiotherapy, Massage Therapy, Personal Training, Orthotics and Pilates and deliver healthcare interventions that are effective and grounded in scientific research.

Alicia directs a team of highly skilled professionals to fulfil the needs of our clients.

Rachel Campbell graduated with a Master’s of Science in Physiotherapy from the University of Toronto in 2009. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology (Honours) from the University of New Brunswick. Clinical internships that she completed during her Master’s degree have broadened her knowledge and skills in the treatment of clients with a variety of orthopaedic, neurological and cardiovascular conditions.

 

Rachel’s passion lies in helping individuals regain function and pursue an active and healthy lifestyle. She believes that this can be accomplished by setting individual goals for each client, and striving to meet these goals by combining education, manual therapy, exercise prescription, and therapeutic modalities, such as acupuncture.

 

Rachel continually strives to broaden her scope of practice to ensure that her clinical treatment is up to date and evidence based. She is currently completing her acupuncture certification through the Acupuncture Foundation Institute of Canada, as well as her Diploma of Advanced Orthopaedic Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy, through the Orthopaedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association.

 

Rachel is registered with the College of Physiotherapists on Ontario, and is also a member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association and Ontario Physiotherapy Association. In her spare time, Rachel loves to stay active. She enjoys volleyball, basketball, ultimate frisbee and is currently training for a half marathon.
